DHAKA: The authorities of Jagannath University handed over two students to police over proxy exam of semester final exam on Monday.
University Proctor Ashok Kumar Saha told banglanews that the final examination of the 7th semester of Political Sciences Department under 2008-2009 session was going on.
Syed Wahiduzzaman, a 7th semester student of Islamic History and Culture, took part in the final exam instead of Istiaq Ahmed, a student of Political Sciences Department.
On interrogation, he told that Mehedi Hasan, student of Political Sciences Department, fill up the form on behalf of Istiaq, according to their plan that Wahiduzzaman would take part in the exam.
Sources said that Detective Branch (DB) of Police held Istiaq over leaking question papers of admission test in the last month that’s why Wahid attended the exam.
Chairperson of Political Sciences Department Dr SM Anwar told banglanews that the teachers held Wahid. The authorities have been suggested to take necessary actions against them.
Proctor told that a probe committee would be formed to look into the incident.
