KURIGRAM: A police officer was killed in a road crash on Kurigram-Rangpur road near Chhinai Bazar area under Rajarhat Upazila of the district on Friday evening.
The deceased was identified as Abdur Rahim, 38, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Bangladesh Police, hailed from Lalmonirhat municipality.
Kurigram police superintendent Md Mahabubur Rahman told banglanews, he fell from his motorbike in the area around 6:30pm while he was going to his residence riding on the bike and received critical injury.
Later, locals rushed him to Kurigram Sadar Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
