SYLHET: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir arrived here early Tuesday on an official visit.
Source said he is expected to visit the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (Rm.) and Hazrat Shahparan (Rm.) at about 10am Tuesday. Later, he will visit the MC college students’ hostel in the day.
According to the schedule, he will also visit the residence of missing BNP leader M Ilias Ali and the graves of slain party men, who died in police firing during a hartal.
He is set to address a mass rally in Biswanath upazila Sadar and attend an iftar mahfil in the evening.
Fakhrul will address a party meeting at a local hotel at about 7pm.
District BNP vice president Dildar Hossain Selim confirmed banglanews about the matter.
