Minor drowns in Joypurhat

JOYPURHAT: A minor boy drowned in a pond at Jamalpur village in Sadar upazila of the district on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Prem Hossain, 4, son of Ujjal Hossain of the village.

The minor boy suddenly slipped into water and drowned while his elder sister was taking bath keeping him waiting on the bank of the pond.

Later, locals recovered the body from the pond.
