SUST students lock Anthropology Dept

SYLHET: The students of Anthropology Department of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) locked the door of the departmental chief due to delay of publishing result.

The students of 2006-2007 academic year kept the door of departmental head Professor Sr Abdul Awal Biswas locked from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Monday demanding publication of result.

Later, the other teachers of the department assured them to publish the result within one week and the students withdrew the programme.

The students took part in the final examinations in July 2011.

According to university rules and regulations, the result should be published within one month after holding the exams.

There is a lengthy delay of all the departments of the university to publish result.

However, I am trying my level best to publish my result soon, said Dr Awal.
