RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY: The Rajshahi University authority Monday has withdrawn its assistant proctor ABM Saiful Islam from his duty following sexual harassment allegations against him.
He is a lecturer of the Mass Communication and Journalism Department.
Registrar of the university Professor MA Bari and Deputy Registrar to Proctor Office Nesar Uddin Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Nessar said Saiful was appointed as assistant proctor for three years in May last.
But, the university authority took the decision as allegations of sexual harassment against him had been published in different newspapers recently.
On October in 2009, a third year female student of the department accused him for sexual harassment.
