Service resumes on 6 routes

BRAHMANBARIA: Rail communications on six railway routes resumed after a five-hour suspension at 12:30 pm on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day rail communications on six routes, including Dhaka-Chittagong-Sylhet as a Locomotive engine of a Chittagong-bound train derailed in Shashidal area around 7:30am.

Akhaura Railway Junction Engineer (Road) Mohsin told banglanews, “Two wheels of the train derailed in Shashidal area.”

Later, rescuers from Laksham and Akhaura recovered the train and the communication resumed at 12:30pm.
