DHAKA: Investors witnessed mixed trend in the benchmark indices of country’s bourses on Tuesday.
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index rose over 2 points only to stand at 4,691 at the close on the day trading.
The volume of transactions, however, tumbled to Tk 1,287 million from Monday’s Tk 1,564 million. Trade deals stood at 41,760 against the previous day’s 44,550.
Of the issues traded, 128 advanced, 112 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 72 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were EXIMBANK, GP, JAMUNAOIL, LANKABAFIN, AFTABAUTO, NBL, MICEMENT, SQURPHARMA and UCBL.
Selective Categories Index of Chittagong stocks however shed over 1 point to stand at 8,900.
Out of the issues traded, 56 gained, 84 declined and 35 remained unchanged.
On Monday, the benchmark indices of DSE and CSE shed 36 and 53 points respectively.
