DHAKA: Two children reportedly suffocated to death inside a car in Mumbai`s suburban Ambernath area on Wednesday, reports NDTV.
The victims were identified as Shivshankar, 10, and Ravishankar, 8, both hailed from MHADA colony at Badlapur.
According to the First Information Report (FIR) the children got into the car while playing and got trapped after the car got locked due to its central locking.
Family sources said the victims went missing from Tuesday afternoon after they went out to play. The parents even filed a missing person`s report.
Later, their bodies were noticed by some local children playing in the area. When the owner of the car unlocked the car, the two children were found dead.
Some relatives, however, have alleged that the children were killed and dumped in the car.
The bodies have been sent for autopsy.
