SUNAMGANJ: At least 25 people were injured in a clash between two groups in Modhupur village under Dirai upazila of the district on Wednesday.
The critically injured--Abdul Ahad, Shafiqul, Azim Ullah and Taher--were rushed to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital and the others were rushed to Dirai Upazila Health Complex.
Officer-in-Charge of Dirai Thana Enamul Haque told banglanews that there was a longstanding feud between Masadda Ali and Abdul Ahad over some village affairs.
Later, Siraj and Shafiq, supporters of Masadda and Ahad, locked into an altercation.
At one stage, supporters of them locked into the clash, leaving 25 people injured.
