DHAKA: Criticizing Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni and Prime Minister’s Adviser Dr Gauhar Rizvi, Opposition Chief Whip Zainul Abdin Farroque claimed that they have violated human rights through sending back Rohingya refugees.
The senior leader of the party made the allegation while addressing at a roundtable titled ‘foreign policy: where is Bangladesh heading?’ organized by Free Thinkers Forum (FTF) at the National Press Club.
He also alleged that the foreign minister cannot stop entrance of phensedyl from the neighbouring country. But, he is now sending back the helpless refugees,” he said.
Criticizing Home Minister Sahara Khatun, he said, “It is a matter of shame that you cannot find out missing BNP leader Ilias Ali and his driver even in three months.”
Indicating neighbouring country India, the senior parliamentarian said, “We welcome you for helping us during the liberation war in 1971. But, don’t operate any anti-liberation activity in the name of assistance.”
With Chairman of Free Thinkers Forum Jahangir Alam Chowdhury in the chair, the roundtable was also addressed, among others, by Swadhinata Forum President Abu Naser Muhammad Rahmatullah.
