DHAKA: Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, on Thursday said Third Generation (3G) facilities would reach all the corners of the country by the next year.
He came up with the disclosure while addressing a three-day long ‘Digital World 2012’ programme at capital’s Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
Addressing the programme Joy, also an IT expert said some 7000 IT engineers are entering in the IT world in the country completing their higher studies.
He also told his audience that the huge numbers of engineers would contribute for the expanding of 3G technology across the country.
Addressing the programme as chief guest, Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury said the programme was organized with a view to building a Digital Bangladesh, mission and vision of the prime minister.
All the people of the country would be facilitated with modern technology to improve their lifestyle, she added.
Earlier in the day, the minister inaugurated the programme.
The government has succeeded a lot in the field of education with the help of the ICT.
