DHAKA: Singapore based Pan Pacific Hotels group has extended its deal for another 10 years with the government over Sonargaon Hotel management and operation.
The previous deal expired last April this year which was signed in 2007.
Earlier, both sides decided to renew the deal for 10 years instead of five years.
Sonargaon Hotel Managing Director Brigadier General Mostofa Kamal Khan and Pan Pacific Vice-President (Finance) Hariharan on Tuesday signed the deal on behalf of their respective sides at the hotel’s Surma Hall.
During the signing ceremony, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Faruk Khan, Biman Secretary Ataharul Islam and Sonargaon Hotel General Manager EJ McCone were also present.
In addition, the group has been operating the hotel since 1981. The group runs some 30 hotel around Asia and North America.
