DHAKA: A campaign as part of Banglanews-Walton Photography Competition was held at American International University of Bangladesh (AIUB) Thursday.
Participation cards were distributed among the students of the university at its Banani campus in the city from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
banglanews24.com, the first online news portal of the country, started banglanews-Walton photo contest campaign in University level on Sunday.
The publicity campaign started through distributing participation cards among the students of Independent University in capital’s Bashundhara residential area.
The leading news portal of the country is set to organize the photo-contest campaign at University of Liberal Arts, United International University, BRAC University, East-West University, Jahangir Nagar University, Chittagong University and Rajshahi University.

banglanews has organized the photography completion titled ‘Be a Photojournalist’ in association with Walton High-tech Industries Limited, the leading electronics company of the country.
The banglanews-Walton photo contest-2012 kicked off on May 22.
Persons interested have been requested to upload their photographs on www.facebook.com/banglanews24.com, the facebook page of banglanews24.com by June 10.
According to organizers, all photos would be displayed in the gallery from June 12 to 30 for voting.
An exhibition with best 30 photographs of the competition will be held and the best 12 of them will be published in the calendar of banglanews of 2013.
The names of the winners would be declared on July 1, organizers added.
The best photographs will be selected by likes of the facebook users and judge. The winner will be awarded with digital camera and mobile phone.
