DHAKA: Eminent lawyer of the country Barrister Rafiqul Haque categorically said the government has to ensure security of the people in house and outside.
The veteran lawyer of the Supreme Court also opined that missing of leader like M Elias Ali is a threat of politics, democracy as well as every citizen of the country.
He came up with the observation while talking to banglanews before attending a rally at the National Press Club Saturday.
Barrister Rafiqul said, “I doubt of government involvement in missing of M Elias Ali as it was not possible for police to file a case of 10 years earlier without backing of the government.”
On April 17, BNP Sylhet Division Organizing Secretary Elias Ali along with his driver Ansar went missing.
However, police found the private car of the BNP leader in front of South Point School and College in city’s Mohakhali.
The opposition BNP-led 18-party alliance has called countrywide dawn-to-dusk hartal Sunday in protest against missing of Elias Ali.
