BARISAL: Police recovered the bodies of two workers from a trawler in Ulania Launch ghat area under Mehendiganj upazila of the district on Sunday night.
The deceased were identified as Mizan Matbbar, 28, son of late Taher Matbbar of Bhola sadar upazila and Md Shahabuddin, 40, son of Mofizul Abdur Rashid of the same district.
Mehendiganj Police Station OC Abdur Rashid said, “They were the workers of the sand-laden ballgate that got drowned in Meghna River on January 15.”
Meanwhile, family members recovered three bodies with the help of the divers on Sunday.
He said, “The bodies were sent to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital for autopsy once filed an unnatural death case with Mehendiganj Police Station.”
