PATGRAM, LALMONIRHAT: An infant was killed and 15 others were injured as a bus fell into a pond losing control over its steering in Bhotmari area under Kaliganj upazila on Saturday evening.
He deceased was identified as Shamim, nine-month old child of Kamar Uddin of Kakini village.
Police and witnesses told banglanews, a Burimari bound passenger bus of Aninda Paribahan fell into a pond losing control over its steering in Bhotmari area, killing one on the spot and injuring the others.
Injured Abu Abdullah told banglanews, “There were 60 passengers in the bus and out of which I saw 25-30 coming out of it.”
Besides, the dead toll is likely to be increased.
Kaliganj Thana OC Mansur Ali confirmed the matter.
