DHAKA: Jumatul Wida, the last Friday Juma prayer of the holy month of Ramadan, was observed across the country Friday with due religious solemnity and fervour.
The biggest Jumatul Wida congregation of the country was held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital where thousands of Muslim devotees offered Juma prayers.
Special munajats were offered at all mosques of the country after Jumatul Wida prayers seeking peace, progress and prosperity of the nation and the greater unity of the Muslim Ummah.
The Khatibs and Imams of different mosques delivered special Khutba highlighting the significance of Jumatul Wida and the holy month of Ramadan before the Jumatul Jumma prayers.
Besides, hundreds of Muslims took part in the major Jumatul Wida congregations at different mosques in the city.
