DHAKA: State Minister for Home Affairs Shamsul Haque Tuku Thursday alleged that opposition BNP and Jamaat are plotting to implement foreign agenda by making propaganda against law enforcing agencies.
The state minister came up with the allegation while addressing a programme of the first anniversary of Uttara 11 Armed Police Battalion.
He said, “False allegations of human rights violation are being raised against law enforcing agencies to implement foreign agenda in association with some local human rights organizations.”
The ruling Awami League leader said, “The incumbent government has been working sincerely to repress militancy in the country.”
But BNP-Jamaat is propagating through going door to door of different international human rights organizations for destroying the goodwill of the work to the international community, he also alleged.
Regarding trial of war criminals, he said, “BNP and Jamaat are conspiring to keep law enforcing agencies on pressure and protect war criminals.”
